Bodegas Málaga Virgen is a family-owned winery from Málaga with more than 130 years of history, dedicated to the production, ageing and marketing of wines protected under the Málaga and Sierras de Málaga Designations of Origin.
Its origins date back to 1885, when Salvador López López began the winemaking activity using wines produced in his own wine presses. In 1896, his brother Francisco López López joined the business, and together they promoted the company’s growth and launched historic brands such as Málaga Virgen, Sol de Málaga and Trajinero.
Over the generations, the winery has maintained its commitment to quality, Málaga’s winemaking tradition and continuous improvement. It is currently managed by the fourth generation of the family, with the fifth generation gradually joining the project.
Today, Bodegas Málaga Virgen produces a wide range of wines, with Málaga Virgen being a leading brand in the national market and Sol de Málaga a reference in the international market. The company is committed to continuing to bring the identity and prestige of Málaga wines to new markets, with an approach based on quality, trust and long-term commitment.
