Bodegas Carpe Diem was founded following the acquisition of the historic Bodega Scholz, which was originally based in the city of Málaga. From 1977 to 1993, the winery sold wine in bulk to various wineries across the province. In 1993, as a result of the initiative and hard work of the Sociedad Cooperativa Andaluza Agrícola Virgen de la Oliva (SCAAVO) and its members, Bodegas Carpe Diem was established and the first bottled wines were launched on the market, comprising the Gadea Red, Montespejo Young White and Carpe Diem ranges.
The winery covers an area of 20,000 m² and has a capacity of 5,040,000 litres for red, white and sweet wines, with a further 250,000 litres dedicated to wines aged in American and French oak barrels.
A newly opened ageing cellar with a capacity of over 500 casks, an ideal setting where we work with the utmost respect for traditional winemaking methods, combining them with the most advanced technology. Our artisanal dedication and meticulous care at every stage of the process blend with innovation to produce wines of exceptional quality, which capture the pure essence of Málaga and are internationally acclaimed and renowned.
All this is complemented by a newly opened bottling plant, the most modern and comprehensive in the province of Málaga, which offers solutions for bottling still, sparkling and semi-sparkling wines, with an incredible handling and packaging capacity that allows us to offer contract bottling services for other producers and the ability to design and produce bespoke signature wines.
